The 5 Gallon Essence Extraction 8 Bag Kit is a popular tool for extracting essential oils and other plant essences from a variety of materials. The process of using the kit is relatively simple and can be broken down into a few basic steps.
Step 1: Gather Materials
Before you begin, you will need to gather all of the necessary materials. This includes the plant material you wish to extract from, the 5-gallon bucket and lid, the 8 nylon bags, and any additional equipment or chemicals that may be required (such as a press or alcohol).
Step 2: Prepare Plant Material
Next, you will need to prepare the plant material by chopping or grinding it into small pieces. This will help to increase the surface area of the material, making it easier for the essential oils and other essences to be extracted.
Step 3: Fill Bags
Once the plant material is prepared, you will need to fill the 8 nylon bags with the material. The bags should be filled to about 3/4 full, leaving some space for the material to expand during the extraction process.
Step 4: Place Bags in Bucket
Once the bags are filled, they should be placed in the 5-gallon bucket. The bucket should be filled with enough water to cover the bags. The bags should be arranged in the bucket so that they do not touch one another.
Step 5: Apply Pressure
To extract the essential oils and other essences from the plant material, pressure needs to be applied to the bags. You can do this by using a press or by simply weighting the bags down with a heavy object. The pressure should be applied for at least 8-12 hours, depending on the type of plant material being used.
Step 6: Remove Bags
Once the extraction process is complete, the bags should be removed from the bucket. The material inside the bags should be pressed to remove as much of the extracted essence as possible.
Step 7: Collect Essence
The extracted essence will collect in the bottom of the bucket. This can be collected using a syringe or by pouring the liquid into a separate container.
Step 8: Cleaning
Cleaning is an important step after the extraction process. Clean the bucket, bags, and any other equipment used during the process.
